Due to the fact that the parties are not "managed by dance schools" you can expect really hot club nights, people socializing, mating, drinking, dancing in all the colors of the world. Dominicans don't do competition dancing in their clubs. It will be social dancing, mostly basic level but hotter than in any other parties you have seen in your life (outside DR). Beginners and newcomers will certainly feel comfortable. Adventurers will get dream come true experiences. Advanced dancers will meet challences they cannot beat.

Bolero Night

Noche de Bolero will be one of the most important highlight of the whole DR4 festival. It will be the most luxurious and prestige night. It's in the building that is one of the 20 oldest in the whole Americas. You cannot find older buildings in USA or elsewhere in North or South America. It is so eerie that you can feel Christopher Columbus walking and the slaves tapping the Palo rhythm. Imagine the candle light dinner and dress code "Colonial or movies of 40´s or at least some elegant but confortable and ladies can always use bolero as the title advices". Notice! Don't get fooled, although this sounds incomprehensibly romantic and luxurious, you don't need a partner to participate. Most of the DR4 attendees will come alone and they automatically have the dinner together.

DR4 Noche de Bolero is the most respected Bolero night in the whole world. This night will be noticed and envied everywhere. We will implement it as stylishly as possible and respecting the 130 years old Bolero music and dance culture. Again, don't get fooled, you don't have to be able to know how to dance Bolero to participate. We have the bolero workshops and you'll learn the basics. Even if you make a record of not being learning anything (no-one else has yet reached this record), you'll still survive fine, because you can always dance Bolero with your Bachata steps. In addition to Bolero, we will have Son, Bachata and later on all the latin genres (=Variada).

Noche de Bolero is extremely interesting because we have 3 original artists from the 60's doing the live concert: Hermanos Paula, Edilio Paredes and Esteban Mariano. Be prepared for sentimental moments!!! this is bigger than a life experience.

VIP OPTION: The second floor has 4 big VIP rooms. You can reserve one of the VIP rooms for your group of friends with a certain minimum consumption. Two of the VIP rooms will be reserved for Hermanos Paula, Edilio Paredes, Esteban Mariano and some really old Dominican Bolero&Son dancers + INTERNATIONAL PROMOTERS, INSTRUCTORS AND DANCERS WILLING TO DISCUSS ABOUT THE ANCIENT TIMES WITH THE MASTERS. Minumum consumption price applies. E.g. Edilio Paredes can tell you how they created Bachata from Bolero. Edilio is the #3 creator of Bachata just after Calderon and Luis Segura. There will be 6 parties in a really different kind of Clubs and places. In addition you can choose from the 9 workshops given by the best Dominican intstructors. The idea behind the DR4 SANTO DOMINGO was to focus on exotic parties and to minimize the amount of workshops in order to leave some time for socializing, excursion, dining, shopping and sightseeing. In case more workshops are needed, consider private classes or participate the Juan Dolio part of the DR4 festival with 33 bachata classes and 7 hours of merengue, tipico, mambo and palo instruction. DR4 SANTO DOMINGO has the 3 hours bachata basics workshops for newcomers and at the same time bachata intermediate&advanced for returning and advanced participants, 1.5 hours for Bolero and 1.5 hours for Dominican Son.

This festival is unique! One doesn't fly all the way to the Dominican Republic to see just a workshop hall in an tourist hotel and to dance just with the international guests.
